At Home Town Title, LLC we believe it is our privilege to work for our clients. Home Town Title, LLC was founded in 1998 by Margy Umhoefer and her husband Jim. Margy ran the company for the last 14 years with different partners over the years, until 2005 when Tim Nelson became a silent partner, then in 2012, Tim purchased the remaining shares of Home Town Title, LLC and took over as Manager along with offices in Sauk Centre, Alexandria and St. Joseph.

Tim's background (owner/manager) in real estate started when he was 5 years old, going with his father to his real estate office in Sauk Centre in the early 80's. Tim started selling residential real estate and Abstracting in 2003 after graduating from St. Cloud State University with a degree in finance, he received his Brokers license in 2006 and Closing License and Insurance Producers Licenses in 2012 after purchasing Home Town Title, LLC.
He is a member of the American Land Title Association, the Minnesota Land Title Association, National Association of REALTORS, Minnesota Association of REALTORS, St. Cloud Area Association of REALTORS, St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce, and the St. Joseph Jaycees (Current State Delegate, past President and Treasurer).
Mary Klimek's background (closer/escrow officer) started in 2000 while working for a title company doing processing in Alexandria. She later increased her knowledge base by working at a financial institution processing real estate loans for the following 8 years. She gained a wealth of knowledge to add to her Degree in finance and credit. Mary currently holds a Closer License, a Residential Insurance Producer License as well as a Notary Public in the state of Minnesota.
